We were tasked with designing a beautiful nasturtium flower to represent Nasturtium Player for Mac,  a small, elegant app for building and listening to playlists. Although the metaphor was relatively obvious, our focus was on creating perfect shapes for the petals and stem that would fit nicely in the square ratio for a Mac app icon. The colors were dictated by mother nature but handling and contrast of those colors along with the fine detail is what makes this icon a beautiful illustration.
